A Picture of Passion

The painting of Battlefield House by Sara Calder is an extremely important piece of our heritage and a testament to Sara's love of the Gage Homestead. It was her hard work and dedication that led to the opening
of Battlefield Park and Museum on October 23, 1899.

The City of Stoney Creek and Battlefield House Museum would like to acknowledge Eugene and Mary Calder of Ypsilanti, Michigan for their gift.
